Entry: Be careful! Apr 15, 2004



Posted by Ashley @ 04/15/2004 01:06 AM PDT BE Careful! Carmen will try to scare you into thinking she is very strict. She may grade tough on the compositions, but she makes class time enjoyable. This is a class you have to go to everyday so you want to make sure you have someone there that can keep you interested. Carmen is very intelligent especially when it comes to Spanish. She is a native speaker which helps when it comes to her teaching, but she will talk very fast. Though it is hard to understand at first, this will only help you understand the language. IF YOU ARE NOT SIGNING UP FOR THIS CLASS TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE, THIS IS NOT THE CLASS FOR YOU. You will be expected to learn, and if you give her the chance, she will help you succeed. In the beginning I guess that I scared Carmen as much as I scared her (she said I ha d a really serious face the first day). But by the end of the class Carmen has become one of my favorite teachers at the University. She made learning a tough subject somewhat easier and fun sometimes too... And ask for extra credit too, she loves that (just kidding on the last thing). It definately ended up being the best spanish class I've ever had.
