| I agree with what Rory said in his email that I definitely would of never come to this to this class all year had it not been for Carmen. She makes Spanish somewhat fun and interesting. Also, I dreaded this semester for Spanish because I heard I had the hardest teacher in the Spanish department. Although Carmen may be tough on her students, she makes them enjoy learning. good luck to anyone who gets this crazy teacher. |

I'm not quite sure where to begin. Carmen is an excellent professor. She truly has a gift. At the beginning I was not sure what to think about being in such a challenging class while having an outgoing teacher like Carmen as well. I shortly realized this class would be one of my favorites. I have enjoyed going to class to learn Spanish and about Latin culture, as well as looking forward to what kind of show was going to be put on. All of these are thanks to Carmen. My suggestions to Carmen's future students is to attend class, don't try to take advantage of her being a nice person, and most of all don't make her cry or I'll have to sick the dogs on you. I don't like to see my friends hurt. Good luck!!

Hola: Carmen can be strict!
First of all, Spanish can be a complicated language to learn and it only helps if you have a great teacher like Carmen to help you through it. I enjoyed going to Spanish class because I never knew what to expect or what crazy thing Carmen was going to do next!! I laughed everyday in Carmen's class. Most of the time we would be studying a certain subject and other times we would sit back and talk about our different cultures. Not only is she teaching us, but we (as students) teach her too and she loves that. My advice is to go to class everyday, like I said, you never know what to expect. Carmen can be strict, but the fun class makes up for that!!

hey, I wanted another period, but...
first couple of days I was trying to change my class. I wanted another period, I wanted another spanish class. unfortunately I did not find a section that fit my schedule and the spanish director talked me into staying in the class.
it was not that bad after all. the class turned out to be fun and enjoying. although she has a bad first impression. it gets better!
anyway, just stick in and enjoy. |

!Hola Clase! do you trust first impressions?
This class has proven to me that first impressions are not that important; Trust You Will Understand later!!! Your new teacher is Great, she is sincere and really cares about what she is doing. But dont take advantage of her she has the last say so. Be active in class and go to her if you don't understand she will be there for you !!! GOOD LUCK !!! |
